March 15, 2009 - Another great visit to see our friends up at the Cheyenne VA Hospital. We all had a great time visiting with the guys (and our special lady vet, Mary). Highlights of the afternoon included Wii "cow racing"! Not sure who had more fun at this, the residents or the riders!
One very special moment was when the nurse came by and told us "Not sure what you guys have done, but Charles is in the best spirits that we've seen him in, in a couple of weeks, we've been a bit concerned about him." Charles Loftus is a WWII Navy Veteran that we have all become attached to. All we really did is what we are suppose to do, lend and ear and a shoulder to lean on (although we do admit we snuck him a shake and some cake). We encourage all of you to do the same. You will always come back feeling much better. Our next visit is in June and is on our calendar, please consider joining us!
